Bazel in the heart of Flanders

14-04-2020

The village of Bazel is very close by. In walking distance you will find a lot of restaurants. The many terraces invite you to enjoy life.

Our B&B has a view on the Bazel castle park that is worth a visit. Here you can watch a funny video about life in the castle as it was in former times.

Totally rested? Take a bicycle! In our B&B you can rent bicycles. They are the ideal means of transportation for exploring the vicinity. The cyclingcrosspoint 71 is only 80 meters away from the B&B. Only 12 km of cycling takes you to the center of Antwerp. Those who want to cycle even less can go with the bike on the waterbus to Antwerp. The waterbus departs in Kruibeke and arrives in Antwerp at the Steenplein, close to Grote Markt and Groenplaats.

You can also take your bike on the ferry which departs in Rupelmonde. He brings you tot he area of the “quiet waters” of Klein Brabant with the cosy villages Wintam and Hingene. A bicycle trip of only 7 kilometers with a rest-break on the ferry. There are also ferries from Bazel to Hemiksem and from Kruibeke to Hoboken.

With the car or the train you can easily reach Ghent or Sint-Niklaas with Waasland Shopping Center, one of the biggest in the country.

Bruges is a bit farther, but really only a 1 hour drive from our B&B. More information about Ghent, Bruges or Antwerp you can find on visit Flanders.

On bicycle or walking you can discover the beautiful nature in the nature reserve de polders van Kruibeke. Beavers, roe deer, otters, and numerous birds and insects have already found their place in this nearby nature reserve along the river de Schelde. www.scalluvia.eu

Those who prefer to take it easy can explore the nature reserve by taking the small electric train. www.ontdekkruibeke.be
