Why the name BAZ

10-04-2020

The name BAZ goes with the modern house built in the 60’s. BAZ is also short for Bazel, the beautiful village where the B&B is located.

BAZ is a boy’s name which means “falcon”. As our B&B is located next to a nature reserve, very much appreciated by bird watchers, it was appropriate to give our B&B a bird’s name.

In the villages Bazel, Kruibeke and Rupelmonde there are many pubs and restaurants which have a bird’s name: Café de Vogelzang, Café De Reisduif, taverne Den Oyevaer, feestzaal De Valk, restaurant Den Duiventoren.
